Idaho Black History Museum exhibits a 'Green Book'

ebay/pbs/kera/open culture
Green Books throughout the years

The film Green Book tells the story of an African-American musician and a white bouncer traveling through the Jim Crow-era South. The movie's title refers to "The Negro Motorist Green Book" - a travel guide prepared for African-Americans traveling by road between the 1930's and the 1960's. The book instructed travelers as to which motels were friendly, which restaurants served everyone and which towns to avoid. The Idaho Black History Museumis putting one of these books on exhibit and we'll talk about the 'green book' and other displays on exhibit.
