Retiring Boise Police Chief Bill Bones Talks To Idaho Matters

In three weeks, Boise Police Chief Bill Bones will retire from his position after 27 years with the department. Idaho Matters talks to Chief Bones for an "exit interview" about his time with the BPD, his thoughts on changes in the department over the years, what he's looking forward to in retirement and the class of police coming up behind him.

Gemma is the host of Idaho Matters, Boise State Public Radio's daily show which broadcasts live Monday-Friday at noon. She is an award-winning journalist and has spent the majority of her broadcasting career in Idaho. Gemma was a television news anchor and reporter in Boise for close to 15 years. She came to Boise in 1999 to start Fox 12.
