A Conversation With New Idaho Incoming Democratic Lawmaker Ali Rabe

Ali Rabe
Idaho State Senator-elect Ali Rabe. Rabe will join the Democratic minority in the legislature, representing her district on the Boise Bench.

We are a little more than a month away from the start of a new legislative session in Idaho. The Republican majority will have an even stronger hold on the levers of power this year after an election where conservatives gained ground in the state.

Joining the ranks of the Democratic minority will be new Boise lawmaker Ali Rabe. She has been on Idaho Matters in the past in her role as the executive director of Jesse Tree, a nonprofit that works to help people facing eviction in the Treasure Valley.

Rabe spoke with our Morning Edition host George Prentice.
