In her artist statement, Stephanie Orton states: After emerging from a nine month major depressive episode, I created this body of work in response to my mother’s rapid decline from Parkinson’s Disease. September 7th 2025 was her first stroke; and her subsequent death occurred on February 22nd 2026. Studying Revelations per her recommendation, and Genesis, I read Homer’s The Odyssey, and I blasted Ozzy Osborne while creating work in my Boise studio, The Yamada. Using Historical, Biblical, Lunar, and floral iconography, I created the paintings. Allegorical Revelations proclaims a blood moon which happened 02/17/2026, and the lunar eclipse 03/03/2026. It also references angels. While visiting the Dry Creek Cemetery and found a statue of Gabriel which I recreated in oil. Tyrian Purple mixed with Damar varnish, I layered the works with the rarest color which dominates the series. Giving all works an eerie reddish tone, I introduced a new tone to my repertoire, whereas my past works have been subjugated by blues and grays. I scoured stamp collections, photographed the moon phases, amassed vintage postcards and Christian iconography assembling the imagery you will see in the exhibit.

A special night for families with neurodivergent and other special needs. This is an evening not open to the general public, with limited attendance in order to create a quieter and calmer atmosphere. Go Therapy dogs will be there, and noise cancelation headphones and weighted vests are available. The cost is $8 per person and members are free. This ongoing class is designed for entry-level and experienced students alike, looking for more practice time on the pottery wheel. Experienced clay instructor, Casey Gurr, will offer guided, small-group instruction for anyone interested in learning the basics of throwing on the pottery wheel. More advanced students are welcome to use this time to practice what they already know and try new tricks! After creating about 1-3 pieces, we will dry and fire their pieces for them. Most pieces are ready for pickup in 2-3 weeks.

Boise's critically-acclaimed improv show MUSICAL MISCHIEF returns!

Athena Hoxsey and Daniel Maggard, joined by Dylan Olsen live on keys, create a completely original musical on the spot. No script. No pre-written songs. No idea what's going to happen. Characters, melodies, choreography, plot twists, and an entire musical-all improvised from audience suggestions.

There are two versions of this show:
*7 PM is the PG SHOW - Family-friendly musical mayhem! All the spontaneity of Musical Mischief, with the content kept PG.
*9PM is the R-RATED SHOW - Same improvised musical. Absolutely no filter. Adults only-expect strong language, mature themes, and whatever else the audience inspires.
