Healthy Aging education series. The empowered Caregiver: this education series teaches caregivers how to navigate the responsibilities of caring for someone living with dementia. Rick Isaacson is a Boise State University alumnus and a distinguished leader who spent nearly four decades building SERVPRO into a national powerhouse. Joining his family’s business in 1985, he played a pivotal role in crafting its strategic focus, building a nationally recognized brand, and improving its award-winning franchise system. As CEO, he led the sale of a majority stake of the company to private equity firm Blackstone and oversaw systemwide sales grow from $2.4B to $4.5B. Rick remains an active member of the SERVPRO Board of Managers and now works to establish his family's foundation, bringing the wealth of his entrepreneurial experience to Christian causes.

Come down to the Children's Museum between 10am-7pm on November 13th for special $5 admission for everyone over 12 months old (under 12 months is free). Admission is good for all day and guests can get a handstamp if they'd like to leave the museum and come back later in the day.
Living Well With Diabetes: Workshop6 week workshop on Thursdays, 1:45pm-3:45pmAugust 14th, 21st, 28th Sept 4th, 18th, & 25thThis program is a 6-week workshop with the Southwest Idaho Area Agency on Aging designed for anyone who lives with diabetes or cares for someone with diabetes. We will learn self-management tools such as nutrition, preventing complications, managing emotions, action-planning, and much more. Registration is required.
Join author and scholar Darren Parry, former Chairman of the Northwestern Band of the Shoshone Nation, for an evening focused on Native foodways and the enduring connection between Native communities and the land on Thursday, November 13th from 6-7:30PM.
Darren’s work emphasizes the vital connection between the Shoshone people and their ancestral lands. Through stories and insight, Darren will share how practices such as cultivating native plants and revitalizing food systems are nourishing communities while promoting sustainable land stewardship.Guests who purchase an Experience Level ticket will enjoy access to a pre-event meet-and-greet with Darren Parry from 5-6PM, featuring a thoughtfully curated selection of light appetizers inspired by local and traditional foods.
The evening will conclude with an audience Q&A. Pre-registration is required.
Darren Parry teaches Native American History at Utah State University and currently serves as Practitioner and Residency at the University of Utah’s Environmental Humanities Program. He is the author of "The Bear River Massacre: A Shoshone History" (2019) and, most recently, "Tending the Sacred: How Indigenous Wisdom Will Save the World" (2025).
