This class is devoted to the who.
Though games, exercises and scene work, you'll discover how to build characters from the inside out (status, wants, intentions, point of view) and the outside in (physicality, relationships, voice). Walk away with more of the tools needed to summon well-rounded and entertaining personas a the drop of a suggestion.

4 sessions - Two hours once a week - Followed by an optional student showcase.
All participants should have taken a prior foundational improv class with us or another theater.

For generations of families, participating in The Nutcracker has been a treasured holiday tradition. Each fall, children from across the Treasure Valley gather with excitement and anticipation for the chance to become part of the story. Some will scamper across the stage as mischievous mice, others will dance as graceful angels or festive party guests. For many, it will be their first experience performing. For all, it is an unforgettable adventure.

Ballet Idaho, in partnership with Caldwell Fine Arts, invites children ages 6 and older to audition for Ballet Idaho's The Nutcracker: In a Nutshell. Returning to Caldwell for its fourth season, this beloved production features more than 50 local children performing alongside Ballet Idaho's professional dancers.

Participation in The Nutcracker offers so much more than time on stage. Through rehearsals and performances, young cast members build confidence, develop discipline, make lasting friendships, and experience the joy of working together toward something extraordinary. Parents, grandparents, and friends fill the audience each holiday season to cheer on local children as they help bring this timeless story to life.

Sept 19th get ready to SLAY with the out of this world antics of JUNO BIRCH! Joining this night is a cast of some of your local favorites in Drag and Burlesque. Juno Birch is a British comedian, artist and camp alien icon, whose online presence delivers just as much insanity as on stage. Her sharp wit, otherworldly observations and birds nest hair can make even the lift of an eyebrow feel like a punchline, regardless of how much Botox she’s had.
She has toured internationally with stand-up and performance shows — including Attack of the Stunning, The Juno Show, and her more recent one-woman show Probed, in which she riffs on life on Earth with out-of-this-world wit. These shows have played to sell-out audiences across the UK, North America, Australia and beyond, cementing her reputation as a bold, original voice in comedy and drag.
