About the Show:

Hell hath no fury like a woman betrayed. When the ambitious Jason abandons his wife Medea for a younger royal bride, he triggers a lethal cycle of revenge. Cast out and pushed to the edge, Medea unleashes a plot of poisoned gifts and ultimate sacrifice.

In a unique collaboration, The Boise Bard Players and The Luminary have built a brand-new, modern interpretation of Euripides’ 431 BC Greek tragedy from the ground up, written collaboratively by the cast and directed by Amanda Baschnagel. Brace yourself for a visceral, contemporary take on classical mythology's most shocking thriller.

101 – Egyptian Style Belly Dance for Beginners

Discover Egyptian Raks Sharki, the classic Egyptian style at the heart of modern belly dance performance. This welcoming beginner course introduces foundational movements including hip work, graceful arms, posture, shimmies, traveling steps, and simple combinations, along with the musicality and expressive qualities that make Egyptian dance so captivating.

The WCA presents "If These Walls Could Talk: A Domestic Violence Anthology Performance," a live reading on Wednesday, October 14. Doors at 6 PM, performance at 7 PM.

Four stories are told from the perspectives of different survivors of domestic abuse. As each shares their story, the performance teaches the audience about the cycle of abuse through powerful imagery and storytelling.

The Comedy Lounge is Boise's only full-time comedy club, with free on-site parking two miles from downtown.

Toltec Energy Dance Class

Discover a moving meditation combining intentional movement, breath, awareness, and focused attention. Inspired by Toltec teachings, Toltec Energy Dance uses simple movement practices to cultivate presence, quiet the internal dialogue, increase awareness, and strengthen intent.
Instructor Chad Rinn brings more than 30 years of study and practice on the Toltec path. No dance experience is necessary. This is a six-week course that meets once a week for one hour. The $88 registration fee includes all six classes. Instructor: Chad Rinn

The Haunting of Hill House

Based on Shirley Jackson’s famous novel. Considered by many to be the best ‘haunted house’ story ever written, the plot concerns a truly creepy old mansion, shunned by all who know its forbidding and sinister reputation. Hill House has remained empty and silent until this isolation is broken by Dr. Montague, an investigator of supernatural phenomena who has been granted a short lease by the present owner. He and his team try to delve into the morbid history of the house. Soon, the spirits of the house make themselves known, goaded into a fatal fury by the professor’s attempts.
