This ongoing class is designed for entry-level and experienced students alike, looking for more practice time on the pottery wheel. Experienced clay instructor, Casey Gurr, will offer guided, small-group instruction for anyone interested in learning the basics of throwing on the pottery wheel. More advanced students are welcome to use this time to practice what they already know and try new tricks! After creating about 1-3 pieces, we will dry and fire their pieces for them. Most pieces are ready for pickup in 2-3 weeks.
Everyone is welcomed, all ages and all bodies! Fun, energetic and playful dancing, lead and taught by festive callers and a live old time stringband. No experience, special attire or partner needed. $15 person, kids under 13 are free. Doors at 7:00, dancing til 10:00. Held at the IOA Hall, 3401 Brazil St, Boise.

Plein Air Painters of Idaho presents their first Virtual Art show featuring artist from across the state of Idaho. The show was juried and awards were given. Some of the art is for sale by the artists.

EverySaturday from 9am until 130pm, Rain or Shine, april through November, we'll be here to bring you the best music, the best local produce, and the best locally made goods the Treasure Valley has to offer! With over 270 vendors on our roster in 2025, and Online Ordering Year Round, we anticipate our 2026 season to bring even more incredible local artisans, food vendors, craft vendors, farmers, or ranchers. Join us for WalkAbout Boise — a 1.5-hour guided walking tour through 150 years of history and architecture. Let us introduce you to the built environment that makes downtown Boise like no other place. This tour is great for visitors and for Idaho residents who want to learn more about how Boise's vibrant downtown developed and the people who made it happen. *Please register online or by phone. We meet at the bench in front of the Basque Museum. These walking tours will be held rain or shine, so please plan and dress accordingly with comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, an umbrella if needed for sun or rain, and a bottle of water. They will start promptly at 10 am and end around 11:30 pm, beginning and ending in front of the Basque Museum on Grove Street downtown Boise. Walking Tour highlights include: -Downtown's evolution from gold rush boomtown, through urban renewal decline, and 21st century revitalization -The oldest and newest buildings downtown, spanning 150 years of construction -Buildings associated with Boise’s historic Basque, German, Jewish, and Chinese communities -The Idaho State Capitol and Boise City Hall -Buildings designed by early pioneers and nationally known master architects -The Egyptian Theater

Join Preservation Idaho’s experienced docents for a 90-minute guided tour through 150 years of history and architecture. They will introduce you to the built environment that makes downtown Boise like no other place.
From Basque sheepherders to political power players and local sandstone to Egyptian hieroglyphs, this tour makes Boise history come alive.
Tours take place every Saturday at 10 AM, starting on May 18th and continuing through November 23rd, beginning and ending in front of the Basque Museum and Cultural Center on Grove Street in downtown Boise.

Ceramics teach a number of a valuable skills, including perseverance, patience, problem solving, and creativity! Bring your kiddos in to come and play with clay and learn how to use this fun medium to create functional and decorative pieces.
We'll alternate between learning the basics of handbuilding, wheel throwing, and glazing each week, so sign your kids up for multiple sessions to give them the full experience! Each student will proudly come out of class with at least one or two ceramic pieces that they built themselves. Ceramic artists and experienced teachers, Mindy Curran & Ben Alexander, will facilitate this class.
